Where can I sell gold jewelry online?

You can sell gold jewelry online to DeKlutterNow from anywhere in the US: text photos to (858) 247-2017 or upload them on this page, ship with the prepaid label we email if it is a fit, and we pay after we test, weigh, and agree on a price with you.

Broken chains, single earrings, class rings, and full jewelry boxes are all fine. Photos of the karat marks (10K, 14K, 18K) help us reply faster.

What is the best way to sell inherited silver coins?

The best way to sell inherited silver coins is to keep them as they are, uncleaned and in any original holders, and have a buyer look at them for both silver content and collector value. DeKlutterNow reviews photos of inherited coins for free and buys them by mail nationwide.

Silver dollars, pre 1965 dimes, quarters, and halves, and proof sets can each be valued differently. Send both sides of any coins that look special, plus a photo of the whole lot.

How do I sell gold or silver bullion by mail?

To sell bullion by mail with DeKlutterNow, text photos of your bars, rounds, or bullion coins to (858) 247-2017, ship them with the prepaid label we email, and we pay after we verify the pieces and agree on a price based on that day's spot price.

Photos showing the mint or refiner, weight, and purity stamped on each piece help us review quickly.

How do I sell sterling silver flatware?

Sell sterling flatware by checking for a sterling or 925 mark, then sending DeKlutterNow photos of the set and the marks. Full and partial sets and sterling serving pieces are a fit; silver plated flatware is not.

Pieces with weighted handles, like many knives, are valued on their actual silver content, not the full weight.

How do I sell an estate jewelry collection?

To sell an estate jewelry collection, keep it together, photograph everything plus any marks and signatures, and ask a buyer to separate collectible pieces from scrap. DeKlutterNow reviews whole estates, including jewelry, coins, and sterling, from anywhere in the US.

Signed designer and antique pieces can be worth more than their metal, so we look for those before treating anything as scrap.

Is mail in gold buying safe?

Mail in gold buying is safer when you know the buyer, get a clear process in writing, and keep your shipping receipt. With DeKlutterNow you can talk to a real person at (858) 247-2017 before you ship, and your items stay yours until you accept a price.

Before shipping a higher value package, ask us about shipping coverage and packing. Photograph everything before it goes in the box.

How is the value of gold and silver figured?

Metal value comes from spot price, purity, and weight. Some pieces are worth more than their metal. We do not quote prices without seeing the items, but these are the things we look at.

Spot price

Gold and silver trade on a daily market price. The metal side of any offer starts from where spot is on the day we agree.

Purity

Karat marks like 10K, 14K, and 18K, and silver marks like 925 or sterling, tell us how much of the piece is precious metal. We verify purity, not just the stamp.

Weight

Precious metal is weighed, and stones, springs, and weighted bases are not counted as metal.

Collectible premium

Some coins, signed designer pieces, and antique silver are worth more than their metal. We look for that before treating anything as scrap.

Condition and originality

For coins, original surfaces, certification, and original packaging matter. Cleaning a coin can lower its value, so please do not clean anything before sending photos.

Completeness

Full flatware sets, complete proof sets, and matched pieces are often easier to value than scattered singles.

What gold and silver items don't we buy?

We are honest about fit. These usually are not a match:

  • Gold plated, silver plated, and electroplated items (marked GP, GEP, EP, or EPNS)
  • Costume and fashion jewelry with no precious metal
  • Gold filled and rolled gold items are usually not a fit. Ask first if you have a large lot.
  • Silver plated flatware and holloware
  • Items with no marks that we cannot verify
  • Anything you do not own or have the right to sell

How quotes work

Photos first, then a reply on fit and next steps. The final price is set after we test and weigh your items, based on that day's spot price, purity, weight, and any collectible value. We do not quote prices from photos alone.

If you decline

You are never obligated to sell. Your items stay yours until you accept a price. If you decline after shipping, we send your items back; ask us how return shipping works before you ship.

Gold and silver FAQ

How do you figure out what my gold and silver is worth?

We start with the day's spot price for gold or silver, then purity and weight of the precious metal. For coins, signed designer pieces, and antique silver we also look at any collectible premium above the metal. We do not quote prices before seeing the items.

Do you buy broken or scrap gold?

Yes. Broken chains, single earrings, bent rings, and other scrap gold and silver are fine. Marked karat gold and sterling are what we look for.

Do you buy sterling silver flatware?

Yes. We buy full and partial sets of sterling flatware and sterling holloware such as tea sets and trays. Silver plated pieces are not a fit.

Do you buy coins and bullion?

Yes. US gold coins, silver dollars, pre 1965 junk silver, proof and mint sets, and gold and silver bars, rounds, and bullion coins.

Do you buy gold plated, gold filled, or costume jewelry?

Plated and costume jewelry are not a fit because they contain little or no precious metal. Gold filled is usually not a fit either. If you have a large gold filled lot, text photos and ask.

Should I clean my coins or jewelry first?

No. Cleaning coins can lower their value. Send photos as they are.

Can you look at a whole estate or inherited collection?

Yes. Jewelry boxes, coin collections, safe contents, and sterling sets from an estate are a good fit. Send a photo of everything together plus close ups of marks and coins.

What happens if I do not accept the offer?

You are never obligated to sell. Your items stay yours until you accept a price. If you decline after shipping, we send your items back; ask us how return shipping works before you ship.

How do quotes work?

Send photos first. We reply with whether the items are a fit and the next steps. A final price comes after we test and weigh the items, based on that day's spot price, purity, weight, and any collectible value. We do not quote prices from photos alone.

Can I meet in person instead of shipping?

In our Southern California areas, San Diego County, Orange County, Los Angeles County, and the Inland Empire, we can also set up an in person appointment. Everywhere else in the US we use prepaid mail-in.
