Common comic situations in Los Angeles
- A collector moving into a smaller place who needs to reduce the number of boxes
- A family handling a relative's collection that includes graded books and original art prints
- Someone who found a stash of comics in a storage unit and wants a quick read on it
What to text us for comics
- Your neighborhood, so we can plan the visit by area
- A photo of each graded book label and a few covers from the loose boxes
- A note on any water exposure or smells, since that affects value
What affects the value of comics
- Key issues, first appearances, and popular characters
- Condition, including spine, corners, and page quality
- Complete runs versus scattered issues
- Professionally graded books (CGC, CBCS)
- Age of the books, from golden and silver age to modern
Heavily water damaged or moldy books and large lots of common modern issues are usually not worth a visit.
We do not quote prices from a single photo. Final offers come after we look at the items in person.
